Director Statement
We as humans, have been too greedy to take everything from mother nature. In the last decade, the imbalance of the nature has been the main issues from every corner of the world. Also there are many natural disasters that follows. The outcomes are many populations were divided by the optimists and the pessimists. Change is needed. While we are on the optimists side, we believe that the nature itself has the power to heal itself. Furthermore if the humans also participated in the
healing process. Leleng is derived from a Borneo traditional song on dancing for friendship rituals. Leleng in this story became the mediator with her body language and the sound that follows for the human and nature. She is pictured as one of the realization of mother nature herself, a mother tree who would sacrifice everything
she has for the beginning of a new life.
